Job Description
Under general supervision, the Support Team Member M&E is responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, including execution of planned maintenance programs, performance of unplanned and emergency maintenance activities, and support of plant operations as required. The Support Team Member M&E will also perform instrument and control maintenance duties at the level of his/her ability. The Support Team Member M&E performs mechanical work and electrical work and other work as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must maintain a valid driver''s license
A minimum of three years experience in Industrial Maintenance or Operations
Desired Qualifications
Associates degree in engineering technology, electrical, or related program
Demonstrated experience or abilities in monitoring, troubleshooting, and calibrating electrical equipment in fluid system operations (pumps, valves, boilers, etc.)
Demonstrated experience servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing high voltage switchgear
Demonstrated experience working with mechanical and electrical equipment
Demonstrated experience reading the various types of blueprints used in the power generation industry
Read, comprehend, inspect, calculate, count, retain and make good and safe decisions.
Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Specific Requirements
Must successfully complete EEI''s Power Plant Maintenance Selection System (MASS)
Must successfully complete a physical and respirator fit testing
Must successfully complete a Power Plant Physical Abilities Assessment
Working Conditions
This position is in a power plant/industrial environment, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, which includes exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and humidity.
This job requires climbing ladders and stairs, lifting heavy loads up to 100 lbs, entering vessels or equipment with limited access; walking, stooping, lifting, bending squatting, pulling, pushing, working in hard to reach and high places, standing for long periods of time, being exposed to all types of weather conditions, and working around machinery and pinch points.
Must be able to work at heights, from suspended work platforms and in confined spaces.
Perform other work required for emergency response and to prevent accidents/injuries of self and others.
